In recent years, Amazon Firestick has become the number one selling device on the market for streaming content, and in my opinion, also the best device for cord-cutters. It is relatively inexpensive and the ease at which it allows you to bypass or “jailbreak” its proprietary software has made it possible for anyone to enjoy the flexibility allowed for seeking and enjoying their favorite content.
This device can be purchased in any major electronics store online or a brick and mortar location if it has one. But none is easier than just purchasing from the Amazon website, simply click on the link below to do so.
So, what is a Firestick/Fire TV device? Read on…
The Amazon FireStick is a small device roughly the size of a flash drive that plugs into a TVs HDMI port.
The FireStick enables any TV to stream content over WiFi such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Pandora, HBO go, and much more. A remote control is included that works with buttons or voice commands, new versions now included Alexa Virtual Assistant. It can basically turn any TV into a Smart TV by simply plugging it into a HDMI video port.
Introduced in 2014 the FireStick is in competition with Google Chromecast, and Roku. Amazons FireStick, Chromcast, and Roku, are a new breed of electronics called Streaming TV Sticks that stream movies and TV shows from online sources. There are three versions of the FireStick with the new version introduced in 2018. The newest version included updated hardware along with the virtual assistant Alexa and 4K HD video.
After purchasing the Fire TV Stick, there is no additional fee or subscription price. You will simply install various applications on the device that allow you to stream, game, and everything in between. While some of these apps do charge a small fee, there are hundreds of free ones as well.

Without a doubt, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4k is the probably the best possible option available for unlimited streaming for the majority of the consumers. Certainly because of it’s price point and amazing specs, this tends to be the optimum choice for any cord-cutting enthusiast.
In June of 2018, Amazon also released another streaming choice – the Amazon Fire TV Cube. This is a hands-free Alexa box that controls your television with only your voice. EZ Fire TV has more information on the Fire TV Cube than will help you determine if it is the right choice for you.

Overall, you cannot go wrong with either device you choose. Many have found that upon purchasing a Firestick or other Fire TV devices, they have been able to cancel their Cable or Satellite subscriptions. With this device, the possibilities are endless.
A discouraging thing about FireStick is that users have to pay subscription charges for the services that FireStick offers. These subscriptions cost very high when accumulated and this is something that can devalue the experience of using a FireStick.
This is why users tend to Jailbreak their FireStick or Fire TV devices. Jail breaking a FireStick means to install a free media streaming software. Jail breaking is not illegal and can be done very easily within a few minutes.
Usually FireStick users jailbreak their FireStick devices to install Kodi which is a top of the line open source media streaming software. Click below to find the tutorial on how to jailbreak a FireStick.
Kodi does not come pre-installed and it cannot be directly installed on FireStick, therefore a third-party application is required to install Kodi on FireStick. The complete installation procedure of Kodi on FireStick will be discussed later in the guide.
Warning FireStick Users: Read before continuing
All governments and ISPs everywhere monitor their users’ online activities. If you are found streaming copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick, it can land you in serious trouble. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. I very strongly recommend you to get a good FireStick VPN and hide your identity so that your movie viewing experience doesn’t take a bad turn.
I use IPVanish which is the fastest and most secure VPN in the industry. It is very easy to install on any device including Amazon Fire TV Stick. IPVanish also has a special deal where you can save over 40% on many of their plans.
